So just what IS podcasting?
A podcast (noun) is a digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or portable media player, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.
Here’s some great information about podcasting. It’s got a business bend to it but it is valuable info for a newbie!
Basically it’s a “radio” program you listen to at any time. Pretty awesome, right?
What I LOVE about geocaching podcasting is that I DON’T have to do through the iTunes store to listen in. In the business world, having a top rated podcast on iTunes is a big deal. But from a LISTENER standpoint, I hate iTunes. I can NEVER find anything and it takes 17 steps to get it downloaded.
Geocaching podcasts… Geocachers know to make it easy so we can enjoy the information!
So tell me, do you listen to geocaching podcasts? What topics would YOU want to see covered on a podcast?
